The Barloworld CA Trainee Programme is one of Barloworld’s Young Talent Programmes, aimed at growing critical skills and developing a potential pool of leaders for the future.
Programme Details
Started in 1999, this 3 year programme is accredited by the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA) and covers all SAICA competencies.

On the job training:
Our program is structured to meet SAICA requirements and as such we have adopted the CA 2025 for all new trainees. As a CA trainee, you will be exposed to the following:
- Business acumen
- Decision-making acumen
- Relational acumen
You will also get exposure in terms of professional values and attitudes focusing on:
- Ethics
- Citizenship
- Lifelong learning
How does the programme work?
Potential recruits will go through a first round of interviews to assess their suitability to the business. Shortlisted candidates will be put through a second set of panel interviews before the final decision is made. The successful recruits will be placed across the Group in business units where their learning will begin.

Requirements
Qualifications: Completed or registered for CTA/PGDA (CTA Level 2 for UNISA students) or fourth year of Bachelor of Accounting Science.
Skills & Behavior: Potential to be a leader, able to multi-task and work in teams, attention to detail as well as a commitment to continuous learning & development.
