In line with our drive to position Barloworld as thought leaders in transformation and empowerment issues in South Africa, late last year the Barloworld Trust donated R1.5 million to Wits Business School for the establishment of a three year programme in its Centre for Entrepreneurship.  The programme will build on the database originally established by BusinessMap to track and report annually on BEE transactions, will research related topics and establish a debating forum on these, and will make annual awards to individuals and businesses across a number of associated categories.

A gala event for the first Barloworld Transformation & Empowerment Awards has been scheduled for 14 May at the Wanderers Club in Illovo, Johannesburg. It’s sure to be an interesting evening.

Wits Business School Barloworld Empowerment Awards

Wits Business School and Barloworld have taken over the BusinessMap Foundation Empowerment Awards. We will recognise and celebrate the efforts put into BEE this past year. This year's Awards Ceremony will be held at the Wanderer's Club on the 14th May. We hope to see you there.
